At the 12th meeting of the Central Committee for Deepening Reform, President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of integrating bio-safety into the national security system. He called for a systematic approach to managing bio-safety risks and improving governance to protect public health and national security.
In alignment with the national bio-safety strategy, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Electrical Engineering is leading a National Key Research and Development Program focusing on "Green and Intelligent Disinfection Technologies and Equipment for Cold Chain Logistics and Human-Occupied Environments." This project aims to advance pathogen control technologies, enhance public health security, and provide technical support for the national bio-safety framework. Among the key research areas, 222nm deep UV disinfection technology is gaining practical applications due to its high efficiency, safety, and environmental friendliness.
As a core participant in this project, GMY leverages over 20 years of expertise in light technology applications to support the development and optimization of this innovative disinfection technology.
Independent third-party testing has confirmed that GMY's 222nm deep UV disinfection technology effectively eliminates 99.9% of common pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, and influenza viruses. Currently, GMY's disinfection solutions have been deployed in real-world settings, such as the Hutchison Logistics Center in Hengqin and Guangzhou Songyang Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd., receiving positive feedback.
High-traffic areas such as supermarkets, hospitals, airports, and train stations require effective disinfection solutions that ensure safety while allowing human activity. GMY has developed a 222nm deep UV disinfection gate that completes disinfection in just 30 seconds. This technology enables rapid and effective sanitization in crowded public spaces, significantly reducing the risk of cross-infection.

In freight, express delivery, and customs operations, rapid and thorough package disinfection is crucial to preventing pathogen transmission. GMY has developed a six-sided scanning disinfection machine based on 222nm deep UV technology. This device can disinfect all six surfaces of a package in just 60 seconds, making it ideal for use in sorting centers and customs inspection points.

Low temperatures in cold chain logistics provide a favorable environment for pathogen survival. Traditional disinfection methods are often ineffective on ice-covered or frost-laden surfaces. GMY has developed an ice-penetrating disinfection technology using 222nm deep UV light, capable of disinfecting pathogens through ice layers up to 5cm thick. This technology is both efficient and safe, making it well-suited for applications in cold chain logistics and frozen food processing.

Looking ahead, GMY will continue to invest in research and development, focusing on breakthroughs in key technologies. By contributing to the advancement of the national bio-safety system, GMY aims to enhance public health security. We welcome collaboration from all sectors to drive innovation and expand the practical applications of disinfection technology.
