Recently, under the guidance of their instructors, a group of students from the School of Marxism at Wuyi University visited GMY for a field study. The activity was designed to take students beyond the classroom, enabling them to gain insight into the diverse applications of lighting technology across various fields, broaden their perspectives, and enrich their practical experience.
Led by GMY staff, the students toured the LumiAgro Plant Factory and the GMY Lighting Technology Exhibition Hall, where they gained a detailed understanding of the wide-ranging applications of lighting technology in facility agriculture, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, infection control and disinfection, and environmental purification.
At the LumiAgro Plant Factory, staff members provided a systematic introduction to application technologies including supplemental lighting for crops, environmentally friendly pest and disease control, and home gardening solutions. Through on-site explanations and hands-on observation, the students developed a clearer and more intuitive understanding of modern facility agriculture practices within plant factories, and expressed that they had greatly benefited from the visit.
At the GMY Lighting Technology Exhibition Hall, staff gave a special presentation on the principles and applications of the LifeSun High-Energy Infrared Therapy Device, helping students further understand the practical value of wIRA (water-filtered infrared-A) technology in areas such as wellness care, physical relaxation, and body function regulation.
Many students remarked that the applications of lighting technology far exceeded their everyday perceptions, and that the visit provided them with a more comprehensive understanding of relevant technological achievements and real-world application scenarios.
After the tour, students and faculty engaged in a brief exchange with GMY staff. The atmosphere was lively and interactive. The accompanying instructors commented that the visit was informative and practice-oriented, allowing students to broaden their knowledge and perspectives through first-hand experience. They expressed hope for continued collaboration with GMY in the future to provide students with more opportunities for practical learning and hands-on experience.
The visit concluded successfully, and GMY looks forward to welcoming more faculty and students from universities in the future to jointly explore the endless possibilities of lighting technology.
