On April 26, the progress seminar for the National Key R&D Program Major Project — “Development of Green and Intelligent Disinfection Technologies and Equipment for Cold Chain Logistics and Human-Machine Coexistence Scenarios” — was successfully held at GMY. More than 20 representatives from the leading organization, the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, project undertakers, participating enterprises, and the expert advisory group attended the meeting. Participants conducted in-depth discussions on the project’s interim outcomes and key tasks for the next stage.
At the opening session, Professor Shao Tao, the project leader, and Mr. Hong Yannnan, Chairman of GMY, each delivered a speech. Professor Shao first extended a warm welcome to the experts and scholars present, and outlined the importance of the project as well as the main topics of the seminar.

Subsequently, the leaders of each sub-project provided detailed reports on their respective research progress, challenges, and plans for the next phase. The attending experts held in-depth discussions on the optimization of technical approaches, experimental validation methods, and prospects for technology application and commercialization. They put forward a number of targeted opinions and suggestions, offering valuable guidance for the next stage of the project.

At the meeting, Liu Liu, GMY’s project leader, presented a dedicated report on the company’s research progress, which was unanimously recognized by both the expert panel and project leadership. As one of the key participants in this National Key R&D Program project, GMY will continue to focus on breakthroughs in core technologies, actively promote the application of key results, and contribute to the project’s steady advancement.
The seminar not only systematically reviewed the project's interim achievements and clarified research priorities for the next phase, but also established an efficient and pragmatic platform for communication among all participating parties. With the guidance and recommendations of the expert team, the project group further refined its planning ideas and implementation roadmap for future work.
Building on its R&D achievements and application practices in the 222nm far-UVC technology field under the National Key R&D Program, GMY is accelerating the transformation of research results and the development of a comprehensive product system. The company has established a full-range 222nm far-UVC disinfection product portfolio covering core light source components, modules, fixtures, and equipment, which are widely applied in water, air, surface, and home care disinfection scenarios, continuously contributing to public health safety and biosafety protection systems.
Looking ahead, GMY will continue to deepen technological innovation and work with more industry partners to jointly advance the application and development of UV disinfection technologies in additional fields, contributing to the creation of safer and healthier living environments.
